The Torah goes through the various possibilities of when they travel. Why does it need to tell you the various possibilities? Why doesn’t it just say that they traveled when the cloud goes? Why does it have to say the possibilities? Month, day year, etc. just tell us they travel when the clouds go?
The answer – is to communicate the challenge the Jews faced in the desert.
